Oaks Pioneer Church is a unique wedding venue.
-Our chapel is a calm sanctuary settled into a charming, friendly and lively Portland neighborhood with dozens of restaurants and locally owned businesses. It is just over 500 ft from the banks of the Willamette river and views of the Portland skyline. Our grounds adjoin Sellwood Park, a lush forested park with paved pathways, picnic areas, restrooms, and a playground. The Church’s next closest neighbor is Oaks Amusement Park, one of the oldest operating amusement parks in the country, often referred to as The “Coney Island” of the Northwest.
Over decades the Church has been the backdrop for new dreams of love, life, and togetherness. It is a perhaps a perfect fit for couples looking for a small wedding with a warm, cozy feel and vintage style. We’ve seen many small and simple elopement ceremonies as well as more traditional gatherings of close families and friends.
We have all of this within a short ten minute drive from downtown Portland and all the city has to offer.
Oaks Pioneer Church is non-denominational and welcomes all visitors regardless of race, gender, national origin, color, ethnicity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
